Ohanae Connect provides a credentials management system with on-the-fly client-side encryption, used on laptops, desktops, tablets, and smartphones, which allow a user to retain a very high level of privacy and security when conducting Internet transactions.
As an analogy, for secure banking transactions, people have a "personal" PIN and a "personal" physical ATM card. The PIN must be used in conjunction with the ATM card to gain secure access to their account. This two-way authentication scheme has proven very successful for the financial industry. Ohanae Connect requires a "personal" passphrase (the PIN) and a "personal" physical device (the computer / smartphone) in order to gain access to their Internet accounts and encrypted data. The credentials management system requires both the physical device and the passphrase in order to generate complex and unique passwords for each Internet account.
Unlike "password managers" that encrypt a file that contains a user's passwords (that can be hacked open by several well-known methods), the Ohanae Connect credential locker does not store passwords at all, but creates passwords in real time only when they are needed, raising both the privacy and level of security.
Ohanae Connect is extremely easy to use and understand. First the user opens the credential locker with the passphrase and then navigates to the Internet site to login. The user types *+ to have the credential locker create a new complex password or ** to simply login to the account with an existing complex password.
Information at the cloud storage providers is no longer insecure. All files in the cloud sync folder on your computer are encrypted with a user-managed encryption key which is only known to you. Besides protecting information in the cloud storage, Ohanae Connect provides an encrypted drive (container) to protect user data on their laptop and desktop computers.
